Changzhou, Jiangsu builds new energy automotive core components R&D and industrialization base

On December 25, 2011, the first batch of six projects of the Qianren Plan (Changzhou) New Energy Vehicle Research Institute entered the signing ceremony. These six projects will bring revolutionary changes to the new energy automotive industry. Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province has vigorously implemented its innovation-driven strategy. Based on the future development trend of the new energy automotive industry and the good auto parts industry base in the region, it has actively planned and built the Qianren Project (Changzhou) New Energy Vehicle Research Institute and invited to master the world's advanced technologies. The “Thousand People Project” experts in the field of new energy vehicles are located in the town, and they are the base for R&D and industrialization of the core components and parts of the country’s new energy vehicles.

The six projects signed and settled are mainly large-scale production of key auto parts, and involve three core technologies of new energy vehicles: power supply, electronic control, and electric drive. These projects are all in the R&D stage and can be used for large-scale industrialization. Some of the production, or some have already gone into small-scale production, ready to expand the scale of production. All these will bring revolutionary changes to the new energy automotive industry. China’s current dependence on oil has exceeded the international warning line. Vehicles have come to an end with traditional technologies for energy conservation and emission reduction. And if the new energy hybrid car can reduce the 80% -90% pollution emissions.
