It is understood that this rare earth quota is based on the relevant provisions of the “Regulations of the People’s Republic of China for the Import and Export of Goodsâ€, which are mainly based on the export performance arrangements of enterprises from January to November in 2005-2007. Recently, the Ministry of Commerce issued the first batch of 23 general trading rare earth enterprise export quotas in 2008, and the total amount of rare earth export quotas was 22,780 tons, marking a new round of national adjustments to the rare earth industry.
