German Volkswagen recently announced that sales of Volkswagen commercial vehicles for the first five months of 2008 increased by 13% year-on-year to 216,133 vehicles, creating the highest five-month commercial vehicle sales record in the history of the Volkswagen Group.
Stephan Schaller, head of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles division, said Volkswagen’s Transporter, Caddy and Crafter’s three light commercial vehicles had strong global sales and contributed new growth points.
