Honeywell will provide turbochargers for two Chinese automakers

The two orders that Honeywell has won in the field of gasoline turbochargers are all available for small-displacement petrol engines of 1.6L or less: Guangzhou Automobile-Fiat is 1.4L, and Jianghuai is 1.5L.

In addition, Honeywell also cooperates with three other Chinese OEMs on gasoline engine projects. Up to now, Honeywell has jointly developed projects with more than 10 Chinese automobile manufacturers.

Gao Dinggui said that the use of turbocharged vehicles in the Chinese market will increase significantly in the next 10 years. Honeywell predicts that sales of gasoline turbocharged vehicles in China may increase five-fold from 2009 to 2015, while the use of turbocharger vehicles will increase by nearly 20% year-on-year.
