Bird flu: 1 confirmed case of human infection with H7N9 in Jiangxi Province

The first case of H7N9 infection in Taiwan (namely Li Taiwanese business) improved, and today (7th) has removed the breathing tube and is expected to be transferred to the general ward for treatment within 2 days.

According to reports, with the patient's family's approval, Zhang Shangyu, vice president of the National Taiwan University Hospital, told the outside world tonight that Li's Taiwanese business condition has continued to improve and his consciousness has become clear. Today, he has removed the breathing tube, but he is still very weak and breathing is a bit too breathless. It is impossible to predict when it will be possible to leave the hospital.

As to whether or not isolation therapy is needed, Zhang Shangyu replied that there was no H7N9 virus detectable in Li’s Taiwanese business body and he stopped using the antiviral drug “Ke Flu”, and there was no evidence of concurrent bacterial infections, which could be expected to be isolated in the next 1 or 2 days. The treated intensive care unit was transferred to the general ward.
