In order to improve the safety and security capabilities of regional airports across the country, the Civil Aviation Administration decided in September 2010 to carry out a survey of airports without a national instrument landing system and a navigation aid lighting system that did not meet the standards. In December 2010, 15 airports were The report on the establishment of the instrument landing system and navigation aid lighting system (Dekogaku) ​​was evaluated. In mid-May 2011, the CAAC approved the project (Deco) report on the construction and reconstruction of the instrument landing system and navigation aid lighting system for 13 of the airports. Tacheng, Nalati, and Kanas are under the jurisdiction of the Xinjiang Airport Group. Hami Airport is located in it. The total amount of the four airport projects is nearly 170 million yuan.

At present, Xinjiang Airport Group Co., Ltd. has prepared to report the preliminary design and budget of the fourth airport project to the Civil Aviation Xinjiang Authority.

After the completion of the above four airport instrument landing system and navigation aid lighting system construction and transformation project, all 16 airports in Xinjiang will have the capability of blind drop and night flight guarantee, which will effectively improve the overall safety and operation capabilities of the airport group.
